Lenny Kravitz (58) is given a special honor: the singer will appear at the 95th edition of the Oscars on March 12th. As the Academy announced on Instagram, among others, the Grammy award winner will accompany the annual “In Memoriam” video with his singing.
With this, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences honors a large number of deceased stars from the film industry every year. Following the “In Memoriam” video, more than 200 deceased filmmakers and artists will be commemorated in a photo gallery in the Academy’s digital magazine, “A.Frame”.
Not only Kravitz will give his soulful voice at this year’s Oscars for the best. Singer Rihanna (35) will also perform her nominated song “Lift Me Up”. The Oscar ceremony will take place on March 12. Due to the time difference, it can be seen in Germany on the night of March 13, from around 2 a.m. in the morning.
