Not good news for all fans of Lady Gaga (36): The American superstar will not perform the “Top Gun: Maverick” song “Hold My Hand” live at the upcoming Oscars. According to “Entertainment Weekly”, Oscar director Glenn Weiss (61) confirmed this at a press conference. The singer and actress is currently too busy filming “Joker: Folie à Deux” and couldn’t find the time to prepare an appearance. However, Lady Gaga will be present as a nominee at the 95th Academy Awards ceremony on March 12, 2023 at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles.

It would have been Lady Gaga’s third appearance at an Oscar ceremony. Lady Gaga was also awarded an Oscar for “Best Movie Song” for “Shallow”.
Lady Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Germanotta, is currently working as an actress on the sequel to the comic book adaptation “Joker” starring Joaquin Phoenix (48). Which role Gaga will play there exactly has not yet been confirmed by those responsible at Warner Bros.
