She is often mentioned as one of the big stars.
But at this year’s WORLD cup, there has been something of a spanner in the works of Anne Mette Hansen.
The 25-year-old Győr player had three expulsions against south Korea, and on Tuesday against Germany dropped the first two-minute expulsion after just barely five minutes of play.
“We were not really so worried. We had played a match against Australia, it didn’t mean it quite big, there was not as much pressure. So, we play against south Korea, where she has it hard and get off to a bad start. The she takes, unfortunately, in this here fight,” said Klavs Bruun Jørgensen after the defeat to Germany.
He told, that he is going to be aware of landsholdsprofilen after the match. Here, there is a responsibility with more in relation to the star, who has found his level.
“Now there is a work with to get the promise Anne Mette, and it’s there for me and the rest of the group. We stand and fall together, and Anne Mette must have the help of all of us together to come up again. We know she is an excellent player who takes a lot of responsibility. She does not right now, and we must help her on the way to,” said Klavs Bruun Jørgensen.
Is it something that makes you worried?
“Yes, of course I am worried. Most of all concerned for Anne Mette, for I know she would like. We must protect our best about her,” said the national coach.
Anne Mette Hansen was even disappointed after the match. Over the defeat, which came after too many mistakes on the offensive. Denmark abused too many chances, and she knew too well though that the last couple of games have not been her best.
“It is clear, it is frustrating. I think I am going with it, I can. Now it was not today. There is a new battle again tomorrow (Wednesday, red.), where I will do what I can,” said Anne Mette Hansen.
