King’s wife Camilla (75) has to cope with another farewell within her family. As British media consistently report, her brother-in-law Simon Elliot, to whom her sister Annabel (74) was married for over 50 years, died at the age of 82. The message was confirmed, among other things, by a statement from the relatives of the deceased to the “Daily Mail”.
Camilla reportedly had a very good relationship with her brother-in-law. Together with their respective spouses, they appeared in London in 2021 for the premiere of the “James Bond” film “No Time to Die”. According to the report, Elliot was also present at the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022) last year. And even during Charles (74) and Camilla’s honeymoon at Balmoral Castle in 2005, Simon and Annabel Elliot are said to have paid them a visit.
The businessman and the interior designer had already married in 1972, and their relationship had three children, Alice, Catherine and Ben. The latter went into politics and for a time held the office of leader of the Conservative Party.
Last year, Camilla had to deal with another death in the family in addition to the loss of her mother-in-law Elizabeth II. Her cousin Charles Villiers was found dead in a hotel room in August 2022 at the age of 59, British media reported at the time.
