The sympathy and respect for King Charles III. (75) have been ubiquitous since his decision to publicly announce his cancer diagnosis. In addition to countless supporters of the British royal family, politicians from all over the world have also sent encouraging words to the British monarch. Prince Albert II (65) and his family also sent him touching well-wishes from Monaco.
You can read this in French and English on the official Facebook account of the Monegasque palace. Addressed to King Charles, it said: “Your Majesty, in this difficult time my family would like to assure you of its full support. Your will, courage and openness have always been a source of inspiration. I am sure that you will show the same bravery during this challenge. My family, the people of Monaco and I send you, your Royal Family and your loved ones our warmest thoughts and prayers.”
King Charles also received similar expressions of respect and well-wishes from his cousin, Crown Prince Alexander of Serbia (78). What’s more, the way the British monarch dealt with his serious illness also inspired him to address the public. He was also diagnosed with cancer at the end of last year and has since been given the great news by his doctor that he has beaten the disease. He now wishes this positive outcome for his “cousin and friend”.
King Charles is currently at the country estate at Sandringham. There he wanted to follow his treatment plan and recover in the presence of his wife Queen Camilla (76) and away from the public. He will initially be represented by Prince William (41) at official appearances, but Charles wants to continue to carry out state business and official office work himself.
