British pop singer Kim Wilde (62) and husband Hal Fowler (54) have divorced. The ex-couple announced this in a joint statement that Wilde published on Twitter last Wednesday. The two have been separated for a long time.
“Kim Wilde and Hal Fowler would like to announce that they amicably separated and are divorced last year,” the statement said. “They are on friendly terms and wish only the best for the next stages of life. No further comments or explanations are given.”
Kim Wilde celebrated her breakthrough in the 1980s with hits like “Kids in America” ??or the cover version of the Supremes classic “You Keep Me Hangin’ On”. In 1996, the singer married actor Hal Fowler, with whom she appeared in the musical “Tommy”. The two have a daughter and a son. Wilde’s last studio album to date, “Here Come the Aliens”, was released in 2018.
