Command back: Kim Kardashian (42) will probably appear at this year’s Met Gala, contrary to the rumor mill.
The website “Page Six” reported in March that Anna Wintour (73) had stamped the guest list and uninvited the Kardashians this time because they were “only” reality stars. But the head of the fashion event is probably not that strict.
Now the portal reports that the most famous of the Kardashian / Jenner clan will come after all – she has therefore received an invitation. In addition, she should not be the only one in the family who received a golden ticket for the established fashion event. It is not yet known which of her family members may accompany her.
The event, which can also be described as the fashion world’s Academy Awards, raises funds for the Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. The tickets are in great demand – and expensive. To attend the Met Gala, one must receive an invitation and pay $30,000.
Kim Kardashian first attended the Met Gala in 2013. Since then she has not missed a gala and has regularly made headlines with her outfits, for example by Thierry Mugler, Balenciaga or a vintage dress that Marilyn Monroe had already worn.
The event will take place on May 1st this year. The theme is: “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty”.
