Action star Keanu Reeves (58) can apparently imagine playing the role of Ghost Rider. “The direction that Marvel movies have taken is really spectacular and it would be amazing to be a part of it,” he said on Jimmy Kimmel Live!. When Kimmel (54) asked what role a ten-year-old Keanu Reeves would like to play, the actor replied: “I think he would probably want to be Ghost Rider.”
The role of Ghost Rider was last played by his colleague Nicolas Cage in “Ghost Rider” (2007) and “Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance” (2011). The films were not particularly well received at the time, and the reviews in particular were rather scathing. Nevertheless, both brought in a commercial plus, albeit not a big one.
Keanu Reeves as devilish stunt driver Johnny Blaze on a hellish chopper? That might actually fit. After all, the 58-year-old is considered a motorcycle fool in disguise. He has even been running a motorcycle company since 2011 and once proudly presented his private bike collection to “GQ”.
The Canadian also has a nerdy side, as he revealed to Jimmy Kimmel. Ever since he was young, he had always sunk into comic shops and bought the latest issues. “I’m glad to be a nerd,” Reeves said. Together with some co-authors, he even published his own comic “BRZKR” (2021), in which he appears as an immortal warrior. Netflix wants to produce an action film and an anime series.
