After the magnificent coronation of King Charles III. (74) On May 6, a grand coronation concert is planned for the following evening at Windsor Castle. Superstar Katy Perry (38) is among the prominent musicians who will perform in front of 20,000 spectators on this occasion to celebrate Britain’s new monarch. As the British “Daily Mail” reports, Perry is said to have been offered by the palace to spend the night at Windsor Castle around the concert.
Perry and her team will be able to move into a number of suites in the historic castle where the coronation concert honoring Charles III. will take place on May 7th. In addition to Perry, performing artists include Lionel Richie (73), the remaining members of Take That Gary Barlow (52), Howard Donald (54) and Mark Owen (51), as well as opera stars Andrea Bocelli (64) and Sir Bryn Terfel ( 57) – among others. The expenses of the musicians are borne by the palace. Whether a fee is also paid for the performance is unknown.
Music superstar Perry (“Teenage Dream”) is an ambassador for the British Asian Trust – a role to which then-Prince Charles appointed her in 2020. The Coronation Concert of King Charles III. is produced by BBC Studios and presented by “Paddington” star Hugh Bonneville (59). The BBC will also broadcast the event.
