Joelina Drews (27) has taken a break. The reason: “mental” problems and “extreme self-doubt”, as the singer reveals in an Instagram story. With the statement, she apparently responded to worried questions from her followers.

“I haven’t been doing well mentally in the last few weeks,” writes the 27-year-old. “I’m currently in a situation where I don’t feel comfortable and have extreme self-doubt.” That’s why she “didn’t feel so much about continuing to make stories in which I pretended to be fine,” Drews explains the silence on her Instagram channel. She adds: “I just needed a break, also musically, which is why I’ve been releasing less music in the past few months.”

At the same time, Joelina Drews also asks her fans not to worry about her: “I’m on the right track and I’m working a lot on myself right now, so I’m slowly getting better.” In addition, the daughter of Ramona (49) and Jürgen Drews (77) explains that she will never stop “making music as long as I’m allowed to exist on this planet”. She “only noticed that I was often the reason for my blockages and stones on my way and I have to find a solution for that all alone with myself and in peace”.

At the end of the message to her fans, the singer announced “a little musical goodie” for the near future and new songs for the coming year. Joelina Drews’ debut single “Skybar” was released in 2017. Most recently, she attracted attention in the summer with her single “Breakup Song”.
