The health of Jamie Foxx (55) apparently continues to worry friends, family and fans.
Yesterday, Wednesday (May 3), the FOX TV network confirmed to “People” that Foxx and his daughter Corinne Foxx (29) will not appear in the upcoming “Beat Shazam” season. Instead, Nick Cannon (42) and Kelly Osbourne (38) would take over the game show. Foxx, who plays alongside Cameron Diaz (50) and Glenn Close (76), is also said to be being replaced by a body double during the shooting of the film “Back in Action”.
On May 3, Foxx himself came in with a statement from the hospital. On his official Instagram account, he writes: “I appreciate all the love!!! I feel blessed.”
Most recently, Kevin Hart (43) had spoken. Speaking on the Impaulsive podcast, the comedian said, “I don’t know the details or the exact specifics, but as far as I know there’s a lot of progress.”
Friends and colleagues previously called for prayers for Foxx. For example his close friend Charles Alston, a hip-hop musician who goes by the name Charlie Mack. On May 1, he posted a picture on Instagram with his hands clasped in prayer against a black background and the words “Pray for Foxx!!!!!!!!!” Shortly after his admission to the hospital, his film partner Kerry Washington (46) protested in an Instagram post that she was praying for Jamie Foxx. There she wrote: “Sending you all my love and prayers, my film husband.”
On April 23, comedian/rapper Nick Cannon told Entertainment Tonight magazine: “Oh man I’m praying. See I posted on Instagram. I was literally praying out loud. Words of encouragement for my big brother. “
What exactly Foxx is missing is still not known. The musician and actor was rushed to a Georgia hospital on April 12 after “medical complications” while filming “Back in Action,” where he is said to be still at the moment.
In the days after his admission, it was initially reported that the prominent patient was already doing better and that he only had to undergo a series of medical tests. “Fortunately, with quick action and good care, he is already on the mend,” his daughter Corinne Foxx announced shortly afterwards via social media.
