Gisele Bündchen (43) is apparently still close to her divorce from NFL star Tom Brady (46) in October 2022. In a teaser for Bündchen’s interview with US presenter Robin Roberts (63) for a special program about the former supermodel, the 43-year-old bursts into tears when asked about her ex-husband and even has to briefly stop the interview.
In the one-minute clip, host Roberts mentions that Bündchen once described the divorce as the “death of a dream” and asks how she is doing today. “Well, if you say so…” Bündchen says and then pauses for a moment as tears well up in her eyes. The model then turns away from the camera and covers her face with her hand. “Sorry, guys. I don’t know. Can I have a moment?” she asks the camera crew.
Roberts then changes the subject in the trailer and asks about raising Bündchen and Brady’s two children together, son Benjamin (14) and daughter Vivian (11). “I think there are days that are easier than others and only I can control what I do,” explains Bündchen.
Roberts also asks Bündchen if she would be willing to open her heart to someone else again. “Hmmm,” she replies and adds: “Where my heart is right now and where I am right now: I live my truth and don’t apologize for it.” She also explains that her past experiences with love have shown her “what I want and what I no longer want.”
The native Brazilian is said to have been in love again for some time. She has been dating jiu-jitsu trainer Joaquim Valenta since June 2023, People magazine reported in February. According to this, the two were initially good friends and took things slowly. She herself has not yet commented on the relationship.
Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady publicly announced their divorce in October 2022 after 13 years of marriage. After the separation, Bündchen moved to Miami with their two children.
