Katerina currently publishes snapshots on her Instagram account in which she advertises outdoor jackets, the comment breaks your heart. “What you don’t see: I lost my identical twins on this day of the shoot,” she writes in a moving post.
At that point, she had already gained seven kilos and was full of anticipation for the double offspring: “I had already overcome the initial shock that there were two and had started to look forward to them.” You looked for bigger cars and looked through name books. The only thing she didn’t know at the time was the gender: “Unfortunately, it stayed that way forever.”
What exactly happened that day? Katerina: “The bleeding started at work. The next morning at the gynecologist there was sad news and a referral for a curettage. That’s the way it is. It’s part of my story.”
“I was sad – even very much,” the model recalls at that moment six years ago. Despite the loss, she decided not to hang her head and decided to do something that she would not have done when pregnant: she grabbed her then seven-year-old son and traveled through Thailand with him and his backpack: “What is the most important thing for me was knowing that I didn’t do anything wrong. It just happened anyway.”
A short time later, a small miracle happened: Katerina became pregnant again! “Six weeks later my daughter was on the road. And we wouldn’t have her if that hadn’t happened. I had already started loving the two little creatures in there. But I still don’t want to miss Sophia,” she concludes her post
