Despite his television career spanning around two decades, presenter Elton still has stage fright before TV appearances. “I used to have stage fright quite a long time beforehand, sometimes days beforehand,” said the presenter of the NDR program “Na see!” at the 20th anniversary of the cooking acrobatics show “Teatro” in Munich.
“Luckily now it’s usually just before the show. So five minutes before the show, then I’m restless and have stage fright.” He hasn’t found a cure for it yet.
The former “show intern” from “TV Total” likes German television. “I think German television does everything basically right,” he said. In addition to “Tatort,” the 52-year-old likes to tune in to “Kitchen Impossible” – it’s one of the best shows there is. In the cooking show on Vox, top chefs try to recreate dishes and specialties from two countries. “I decided to visit a few places in the world that they visited. I wanted to do that at some point.”
