Homemade food is on the menu for ex-TV presenter Gülcan Kamps at Christmas. The 41-year-old told the German Press Agency in Berlin that she likes to cook classic dishes such as roast with red cabbage, dumplings and spaetzle at Christmas. The motto is: do it yourself. “Almost nothing should be bought ready-made,” says Kamps. “Or you can have a delivery.”
In addition to the hearty holiday dishes, homemade mulled wine and our own creations from roasted almonds are also very popular. “I always eat them while I’m cooking. And then I’m usually no longer hungry in the evening,” said Kamps with a smile.
The now 41-year-old was part of the presenter team on the Cologne music station Viva for years from 2003 onwards. The channel went on air on December 1, 1993 – exactly 30 years ago. The TV station was discontinued at the end of 2018.
