The music producer Nosie Katzmann was inspired by a meeting with a woman for his international Eurodance hit “Mr. Vain”. A musician left him a cassette with a melody, the 64-year-old told the German Press Agency.
“And in a café in Darmstadt a woman said to me that I didn’t look like a musician at all. I said she should call me. She would fall in love with my voice.” The lyrics to “Mr. Vain” were born. The song by the group Culture Beat is about a man who is convinced that women around the world find him attractive. “Steven Levis’ beat fit like a glove.”
At the height of his career in 1993, Katzmann, who was born in Lower Franconia, had three international hits in one year: “More and More” with Captain Hollywood Project, “Right in the Night” with Jam
“I am a free spirit and love music in its entire spectrum,” said the artist who lives in Battenberg (Palatinate). “You can only develop further if you are open.”
