Halle Berry celebrated her 57th birthday on Monday (August 14) with a trip into the world of “Barbie”. Also attending was her 15-year-old daughter, Nahla, who now towers over her famous mother.
The actress posted several photos to her Instagram page from the day she spent dressed all in pink with her daughter and boyfriend Van Hunt, 53, at the World of Barbie interactive exhibit in Santa Monica. She proclaimed, “My mini (but not so mini anymore) me and my VanO took me into the world of Barbie on my birthday. I got to let my inner Barbie out.”
Berry’s caption referred to Nahla’s height. A photo shows that the teenager is now almost a head taller than his mother. Hollywood colleague Julianne Moore (62) was also amazed. “She’s so big!” she wrote in a comment. The birthday girl thanked her two loved ones for the trip and recommended the exhibition to her 8.5 million followers, which takes place parallel to the successful “Barbie” film.
Another picture showed Berry in pink and rhinestone-studded cowboy boots, which she had laid out on a table as she soaked up the sun. Additional pictures reveal that she and her daughter wore similar pink mini dresses. Hunt, with whom Berry has been dating for three years, chose a matching t-shirt and a pink teddy bear backpack for the “Barbie” world.
Nahla comes from the relationship with Gabriel Aubry (46). The couple got engaged shortly after the birth in 2008. Two years later, the split became known. Berry is also the mother of nine-year-old son Maceo, whom she has with ex-husband Oliver Martinez, 57. The couple divorced in 2016.
