All gamers should mark December 5th, 2023 in their calendars: As Rockstar Games announced on the official X account (formerly Twitter), the first trailer for the upcoming part of the popular Grand will be released next Tuesday at 9 a.m. Eastern Time -Theft Auto computer game series released. The first pictures of “GTA 6” will be shown in this country at 3 p.m. Central European time. The game doesn’t have an official title yet. It is actually the eighth main game in the series and the 16th part overall. “GTA 6” only results from the consecutive numbering after the last major title “Grand Theft Auto V”.
Rockstar Games ended the numerous speculations and rumors about “GTA 6” in February 2022 when it was confirmed for the first time that the game was in development and that work was making good progress. However, there is no official release date yet. A leak in September 2022 released numerous gameplay clips, with some questions at least possibly already answered. The leaked footage had unmistakable visual similarities to the 2002 title “GTA: Vice City,” which was set in Miami and the surrounding area. Official information about locations, protagonists or the story in “GTA 6” has not yet been published.
The final game in the series, “Grand Theft Auto V”, was originally released in September 2013 for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 and was set in the fictional city of Los Santos, which was modeled on the real Los Angeles in great detail. After “Minecraft,” it was the second best-selling computer game to date until March 2023. In terms of sales, “GTA 5” is the highest-grossing audiovisual entertainment product in the world, with an estimated turnover of six billion US dollars. In 1997, the first part of the series was initially only released for the PC, but later also for the PlayStation and the Game Boy Color.
