It was teased at the beginning of the season, now the time has come: Eight weeks after the start of the season, six new models enter the fight for the title “Germany’s Next Top Model”, five of them between the ages of 44 and 52. But before that, the “Best Agers” of this year’s season have to prove themselves together with latecomer chick Maike in the “Bootcamp” in Munich. Here they should learn what they missed in L.A. in the last few weeks – supported by Thomas Hayo and Nikeata Thompson. “I want to bring the girls up to par with the models in L.A. And for that we need training, for that we need tips and for that we need confidence,” says Thompson.
When they meet for the first time, Heidi Klum announces: “These are now officially your comrades-in-arms”. Not all models like the fact that the original “Top 13” becomes a “Top 19” again, because: The long-awaited “Top Ten” is thus moving into the distant future. “We were all here, just before the ‘Top Ten’ – and boom – it was snatched from us again,” says Anna-Maria. Anya is particularly angry and even starts to cry. “I just think it’s super unfair that we’re 19 again. We’ve performed well, they haven’t.” Her rejection makes her feel the newcomers clearly, turning away and sulking away from the group. With the words “I’m the boss here,” Klum critically comments on Anya’s behavior.
In order to make the situation as fair as possible for the other candidates, the newcomer models have to face three challenges in one day: the sedcard photo shoot and two different walk styles – one sexy in underwear and one extravagant in the outfits of Designer Yannik Zamboni – should bring the new models on an equal footing with the other candidates. Anna-Maria immediately sees Maike as a direct competitor, Selma compares her type to “Best Ager” Nicole. The latter can completely convince the candidates and Klum during the shooting and walk. “You run just like I would run now. Probably because we come from the same time,” enthuses the 49-year-old.
After a triple challenge, the first decision is made: Zuzel and Charlene have to leave the show again, the other four candidates are allowed to move into the model villa. The next day it’s “Battlewalk”. The models compete against each other in a duel and have to prove with three different creative and unusual walk styles that they can let go and let go of all inhibitions. The rule of thumb is: the crazier, the better. The models that get a point in the duel go straight through. The others, however, wobble.
The eighth episode has some excitement ready. At the forefront is the arrival of the new models in L.A., which is not exactly met with enthusiasm and joy from the competition at first. Anya in particular shoots the bird off and with her initial behavior towards the newcomers causes moments of embarrassment among the other models. Afterwards, the 19-year-old is amazingly hospitable. “It doesn’t get me any further if I just sit stubbornly in the corner, so I just accept it,” she says. In “Best Ager” Marielena she even finds a new ally. “Anya saw opportunities in the new candidates, because she screwed up with us. New people, new luck,” says Selma.

Before the “Crazy Walk”, the supermodel takes over teaching the models in the villa. Her tip: Introduce yourself, become aware of your own strengths and practice alone, just for yourself – in the end only the models who are remembered for their unique appearance are convincing.
Alongside Zuzel and Charlene, Leona has to leave the show after the “Battlewalk”. For the 19-year-old, being kicked out came as a shock. “I can’t go now. Please Heidi, send me to the shootout or something, I’ll do everything. But I can’t go now!” She cries, stunned. And the other candidates are also shocked. “She’s the one who gave everything to get on here,” says Ida and continues: “It annoys me when there are people here who see this as a game.”
