During a shooting, the sed card photos of the candidates are created. With the pictures they should later introduce themselves to potential customers. However, the fact that the models have to pose topless for this is unusual. “When I found out that we were shooting half-naked, I was really confused. I actually associate a sedcard shoot with basic clothes,” Anna-Maria puts it in a nutshell. Instead, the women only wear black panties and black pumps and are supposed to hold a board in front of their bodies on which their measurements are shown. “It’s a bit like in prison,” comments Heidi Klum on the scenery. What she doesn’t reveal: It’s not just about the sed card, but also about the naked shoot that many candidates fear.

First of all, with Katherine, Anya, Jülide, Selma, Elsa and Coco, the models who were least convincing in Klum’s eyes in the previous week have to appear in front of the camera. Then a decision is made immediately: Jülide has to leave the show. Everyone else can expect a first casting after the shoot. The lingerie manufacturer Intimissimi is looking for a model for its new Germany-wide campaign. Most recently, Heidi Klum and daughter Leni advertised for the Italian label. Now the choice falls on Ida, she prevails against her competitors. The photographer raves about the 23-year-old: “This is her first shoot and I have to say I’m very impressed.”

The face and facial expressions of candidate Elsa became a much-discussed topic. During the photo shoot, both Heidi Klum and the photographer criticize that the 18-year-old looks too tense around her mouth. Elsa explains that it’s because of her injected lips. “The material comes from Russia and is very strong.” Guest judge Rebecca Mir also criticized a lack of charisma. The facial expressions would be missing, Elsa’s face was “petrified”.

Rebecca Mir was second in “Germany’s Next Top Model” in 2011 and has appeared several times as a guest judge on the show. This time she supports Heidi Klum again in the decision. In the final, the candidates have to complete a fashion quiz. They wear capes, each with a letter on it, and are asked to position themselves in such a way that the correct answer to a previously asked question appears. That works quite well, but the young models fail when it comes to the following question: “What was the last name of the lady who invented the little black dress?” Chanel would have been the right answer here. In an interview with Rebecca Mir, Heidi Klum also reveals that six other candidates will move up to the show, including older women.

In addition to Jülide, Elsa also has to leave the show. The Austrian was a candidate who was often the center of attention from the beginning of the season, but also polarized. After the 18-year-old couldn’t convince either at the photo shoot or on the catwalk, Heidi Klum sent her home.
