Gisele Bundchen (42) graces the April issue of Vanity Fair. In the cover story, the model speaks openly about his divorce from NFL star Tom Brady (45). The marriage after 13 years meant the “death of my dream” for her. “It’s hard because you imagine life going a certain way and you did what you could, you know?” she elaborates before her voice breaks.
With watery eyes, she continues: “You give everything you have to achieve your dream.” You give “100 percent of yourself”. It breaks your heart “when things don’t turn out the way you hoped and worked for. But you can only do your part.” Even as a child she “believed in fairy tales”. Bundchen is “grateful” for this quality, even if her personal love story did not come true.
Bundchen denies that she could have found a new love in billionaire Jeffrey Soffer (55). When asked about the billionaire, the model emphasizes: “I have no relationship with him in any way.” Soffer is “Tom’s friend, not my friend.” She “wouldn’t date that guy”. Corresponding rumors are “absurd” and “ridiculous”.
She also does not confirm a relationship with her jiu-jitsu trainer Joaquim Valente (34). “I think unfortunately right now, because I’m divorced, they’re going to try to associate me with anything,” she says. Valente has “become a good friend” and “a person I admire and trust”. He and his brothers would not only train them, but their children as well. For them it is “so good” to have “this kind of energy around them”.
Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady announced their divorce at the end of October. As both announced on their Instagram profiles, the decision was made by mutual agreement. “The decision to end a marriage is never easy,” Bundchen explained on her Insta stories. But you have grown apart. She was thankful for the time we had together. Brady was also grateful in his stories and made it clear that the separation was “painful and difficult”. However, the couple was “blessed with […] wonderful children who will continue to be the center of our world”. Parents would continue to give children the love they deserve. Wishing each other only the best, no matter what the next chapter in each other’s life turns out to be.
The two have been a couple since 2006 and married on February 26, 2009. In December of the same year, their son Benjamin was born. Three years later, daughter Vivian was born. Tom Brady also has son John Edward Thomas Moynahan (15) from a previous relationship with actress Bridget Moynahan (51).
