The 13th episode (May 9) of this year’s edition of the casting show “Germany’s next Topmodel” (Thursdays, 8:15 p.m., ProSieben or Joyn) is about, among other things, the acting talent of the candidates for the top model title. This year, the young models have to prove themselves in interaction with Hollywood star Thomas Kretschmann (61, “Indiana Jones and the Wheel of Fortune”, “Balloon”).
The challenge: Two models play a very emotional scene together with Kretschmann in a 1950s diner. “I’m looking forward to the models. I’m looking forward to working with them and seeing how far they can push themselves,” says the Dessau native, who has made a career in Hollywood. And he adds: “I think that’s the only thing you can expect someone who’s never done before to get into.”
But that’s not enough. In the show, the young models also have to get creative during a beauty casting. The client is looking for “the face for a large eyebrow campaign in Germany, Austria and Switzerland”. Heidi Klum specifies the very personal task: “Show your personality. The looks of my models should highlight who they are.”
Which young model can convince Thomas Kretschmann, Heidi Klum and the beauty customers – and thus secure the chance of moving forward in the competition? These 16 are still in the running:
Aldin (23, Munich), Armin (27, Kempten), Dominic (20, Katlenburg-Lindau), Fabienne (21, Solingen), Frieder (25, Berlin), Grace (25, Düsseldorf), Jermaine (20, Kassel) , Julian (24, Frankfurt), Kadidja (21, Vienna), Lea (24, Düsseldorf), Linus (25, Berlin), Luka (24, Frankfurt), Marvin (23, Bielefeld), Sara (28, Berlin), Stella (34, Dortmund) and Xenia (24, Hof).
