Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale (57) and No Doubt singer Gwen Stefani (53) were married for 14 years. Three sons emerged from the marriage of the two music stars. However, following their split, the ex-couple’s parenting would diverge widely, Rossdale revealed on Thursday (June 15) on the Not So Hollywood podcast.

“I don’t think there’s much in common in the way we raise them,” the musician explained to podcast host Adrianna Costa (41). He and Stefani “definitely have some particularly opposing views” and are “really different people.”

However, the Bush singer sees this – somewhat surprisingly – as a great advantage for his sons Kingston (17), Zuma (14) and Apollo (9), as he went on to explain. “I think that gives them an incredible perspective,” said Rossdale. According to him, his children with Stefani could choose for themselves “which parts of these two lives they would like to take on and continue.”

In addition to his three sons with Gwen Stefani, Rossdale is also the father of an adult daughter named Daisy Lowe (34). His ex-wife Stefani has been married to musician Blake Shelton (46) since 2021. According to “People”, he is also involved in raising Rossdale’s and Stefani’s sons.
