Ski Aggu, Joost and Otto Waalkes (74) take first place in the official German single charts with their new version of “Friesenjung”. This was announced by GfK Entertainment on Friday. The song debuted at number three last week. The Berlin and the Dutch rapper breathed new life into the 30-year-old piece by the East Frisian cult entertainer with techno-heavy beats. Earlier this week, the trio had already climbed to the top of the Spotify charts.
A similar combination pushed Otto and the young rappers off the throne: “Komet” by rock icon Udo Lindenberg (77) and rapper Apache 207 (25) is now in second place. Bonez MC secures third place with “Everything just no Star”.
Silbermond, the band around singer Stefanie Kloß (38), delivers their fourth number one album with “Auf Auf” after “Steps” (2019), “Nothing happens” (2009) and “Laut thought” (2006). Second place will please K-Pop fans with “5-Star” by Stray Kids. With their anniversary edition of the “Opel-Gang”, Die Toten Hosen entered third place 40 years after their debut.
The Foo Fighters made fourth place with “But Here We Are”, their first album after the sudden death of drummer Taylor Hawkins (1972-2022) last year.
