Cruel certainty: The “Green Book” star Frank Vallelonga Jr. is dead. As the “New York Post” reports, a body has now been identified that was placed on the street in the borough of The Bronx on Monday night. According to police, this is Vallelonga Jr. The actor was 60 years old. The probable cause of death was an overdose, it said. At least no traces of a crime were found.
Vallelonga Jr.’s remains were found outside a tin factory in Hunts Point. The body had previously been thrown out of a vehicle, authorities said. Vallelonga Jr. is the son of bouncer legend and ‘The Sopranos’ actor Tony Lip, whose life story is told in the film ‘The Green Book.’ In it, lead actor Viggo Mortensen (64) took on the role of Lip. Vallelonga Jr. played his uncle Rudy Vallelonga there. The strip won the 2019 Academy Award for Best Picture and Best Original Screenplay.
In the meantime, a 35-year-old man has been arrested in New York who was linked to the body found and could be identified using surveillance video. In custody, he had already confessed that he had put Vallelonga Jr.’s body there.
