At the Oscars, Florence Pugh (27, “Don’t Worry Darling”) and Andrew Garfield (39, “The Amazing Spider-Man”) were on stage together as trophy lenders, and now plans have been made for the first joint film project known.

The company StudioCanal confirmed a report by the film portal “Deadline.com” on Tuesday that the British actress and her US colleague are negotiating for the leading roles in the love film “We Live In Time”.

Irishman John Crowley (53) is on board as director. He previously cast Saoirse Ronan in the melodramatic romance Brooklyn (2015). With Nicole Kidman he shot the literary adaptation “The Goldfinch” (2019).

Pugh has recently directed films such as “Black Widow”, “The Miracle” and “Don’t Worry Darling”. Garfield won the 2022 Golden Globe for Best Comedy Actor for the musical Tick, Tick… Boom!. The role also earned him an Oscar nomination.
