In her own words, Hollywood star Diane Kruger has not seen herself as a mother for many years. “I didn’t want to have children for a long time,” the 46-year-old told Tatler magazine. “I really liked my life the way it was.”

In her late 30s, she started thinking about children, Kruger explained. At the time, their relationship was not at a point where having children would have been an option. “So I had given up hope a bit and thought it was too late. And that was okay with me.”

The Hollywood actress (“Inglourious Basterds”), who was born in Lower Saxony, later had a daughter. The four-year-old Nova’s father is “Walking Dead” star Norman Reedus, whom Kruger met in 2015. In 2017, the couple made their relationship public.

“Nova’s birth has changed my life – our lives – in the most beautiful way possible,” Kruger enthused. “It’s just unbelievable that you’ve had a certain image of yourself for such a long time, but are destined to do something completely different.”
