Pop singer Johannes Oerding (40, “On good days”) can still talk badly about his feelings with his father.
“I can imagine that it has something to do with the post-war generation, which only spent little intensive time with their parents because they simply had different worries and ideas at the time. And that is always passed on to some extent,” said Oerding of the German Press Agency.
“I also inherited many things from my father and I dread the idea of passing something on to anyone.”
The songwriter dedicated the intimate ballad “1:1-Gestalt” to his father, which will be heard on his album “Plan A”, which will be released on Friday. “I’m very proud of this song. It’s one of the most important songs I’ve ever written,” continued the singer, who was born in Münster and lives in Hamburg.
