The British actor Ewen MacIntosh, best known from the comedy television series “The Office”, is dead. “Big Keith”, as he was also known after his role name, died at the age of 50, said the artist agency Just Right Management with. Nothing was initially known about the cause of death.
However, MacIntosh had long had health problems. In February 2022, he posted a selfie from a hospital bed that showed him wired up. “Bad times for me, friends. Stay strong,” he wrote on “X” (formerly Twitter) at the time.
“The Office” is the template for the German TV series “Stromberg”. In addition to the British original, there is also an American version of the show. Series creator and comedian Ricky Gervais praised MacIntosh as an “absolute original”. “Extremely sad news. The very funny and wonderful Ewen MacIntosh, known to many as ‘Big Keith’ from ‘The Office’, has passed away,” Gervais wrote on the X platform (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday.
Numerous other “The Office” colleagues and fans also paid tribute to MacIntosh online, posting old videos and emphasizing his comedic talent. “Thank you for all the kind words and love you show for Ewen, the family is very happy,” his management told fans.
