Elon Musk (51) has lost his own vote on his future on Twitter. 57.5 percent of users on the platform voted for Musk to resign as head of the short message service. 42.5 percent voted against, there was no third option. The survey ended at 12:20 p.m. German time on Monday afternoon.
“Should I resign as head of Twitter?” Elon Musk asked on Sunday “I will stick to the results of this poll”. He then blasted off a series of cryptic tweets implying that after just two months at the helm of Twitter, he may be tired of his job. “As the saying goes, be careful what you wish for, because you might get it,” the tweets said, or “Those who want power are those who least deserve it.”
Whether Elon Musk really sticks to the vote is not yet certain. So far, the CEO of the short message service has not yet commented. “People’s voice is God’s voice,” Musk recently wrote when a narrow majority voted in a Twitter poll to reactivate Donald Trump’s (76) Twitter account.
