The sci-fi comedy Everything Everywhere All at Once has also won the US Producers Awards. The US producer association Producers Guild of America (PGA) chose the comedy as the best film on Sunday night in Los Angeles.
“Everything Everywhere All at Once” beat nine other candidates such as “Avatar: The Way of Water”, “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”, “Elvis”, “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery” or “Tár”. Actor Tom Cruise received a special award.
More than 8,000 film producers vote on the awards, which have been presented for the 34th time. They are considered a barometer for the Oscars, which will be awarded in mid-March this year. The PGA winner often later wins the Oscar for best film, such as the road movie “Nomadland” (2021). “Everything Everywhere All at Once” has won various other awards and is entering the Oscars with eleven nominations.
At the Annie Awards for animated films, which were also presented on Sunday night, “Pinocchio” by director Guillermo del Toro won five awards.
