She was just seen with her husband Eric Stehfest (34) in the RTL show “Das Sommerhaus der Stars”. On Friday (October 20th) Edith Stehfest (28) will release her new album “Rainbow Bride”, in which she deals with her own past. The first single “Laut” already dealt with a traumatic experience: At the age of 23, the singer discovered through a video that she had been knocked out, raped and filmed at the age of 17 by her drug dealer at the time. Stehfest describes the work on the twelve album songs as an important healing process – and despite the dramatic themes, her music is not dark and depressive, but on the contrary: it wants to give hope and transform the bad into new strength.

Former “GZSZ” actor Eric Stehfest is also significantly involved in the album: he wrote the song lyrics together with his wife and also came up with the title. Because he gave his partner the name “Rainbow Bride”. In an interview with the news agency spot on news, Edith Stehfest talks about this marital collaboration and why the “summer house” curse doesn’t apply to her.

Edith Stehfest: Music has always been something healing for me. Some topics are much easier for me to convey in a song than with spoken word. Some songs were very emotional for me at first, but I gained a lot of strength from singing and working on them.

Stehfest: “Rainbow Bride” is an album for my new time. The songs look back, but also show the way forward. “Rainbow Bride” is like the rainbow, full of colors, themes and facets.

Steadfast: The song “So Beautiful” is particularly important to me because it shows me again and again that I have already achieved so much and that I can be proud of myself. With “So Beautiful” I would also like to address the wonderful people who listen to my music and encourage them to recognize their own beauty.

Stehfest: I wrote the lyrics either alone or together with my husband Eric. Eric is a wonderful writing partner because he has known me for many years and finds the right words where I need them. When we had different ideas about musical influences for the songs, we always came to a solution together.

Stehfest: Music has been an important element since my childhood. I started learning a classical instrument when I was six. My son is currently learning his first instruments and I enjoy singing at home with my two children. Even my two-year-old daughter knows some of the lyrics from my album by heart.

Steady: I’m proud of how well Eric and I walked through the summer house as a team. That is the most important thing for me.

Steadfast: The way many relationships interact with one another.

Steadfast: Eric and I have been through some really difficult times over the last few years, so the summer house couldn’t have had a negative impact on our relationship.
