So does the royal family have to tremble before further attacks? With a biography of Meghan, a reconciliation would probably be even more unlikely. Since the documentary in December and especially since Harry’s autobiography in January, the rift seems insurmountable.
The new king certainly sent conciliatory signals. Charles III (74) mentioned the couple in his inaugural speech, invited her to the coronation on May 6, 2023 and toasted Archie, who turned four on the very day. But Meghan, who came to the funeral service for Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022) on September 19, 2022, stayed with the children in their new home in Montecito. It’s anyone’s guess when she and Harry will ever travel to the UK together again. In June they had their last belongings cleared out of Frogmore Cottage and handed in the keys. They have finally broken up their tents in Great Britain three years after the so-called Megxit.
The former “Suits” actress is unlikely to move to her husband’s homeland. In addition to the tensions with the family by marriage, there are also problems with the people. Because the Duchess has fallen deeply. At the beginning, the hearts of many Britons flew to her, she was celebrated as a beacon of hope and a breath of fresh air for the monarchy. But now the 42-year-old is more unpopular than ever. The ever new revelations about the royal family were not well received. William and Kate (41) congratulated their sister-in-law on their Instagram account for their 41st birthday. “We wish the Duchess of Sussex a happy birthday!” Was read in a story about a portrait photo of the jubilarian. It showed her at the Queen’s 70th Jubilee memorial service in early June 2022 at London’s St Paul’s Cathedral. A few minutes later, Charles and Camilla (75) also joined the congratulations.
