Duchess Meghan (41) is honored with a prestigious feminist award. As the US Ms. Foundation for Women announces on its website, Prince Harry’s (38) wife will receive this year’s Women of Vision Award. This will be awarded during a festive gala on May 16 in New York. The feminist icon and co-founder of the Foundation, Gloria Steinem (89), will personally present her award to Meghan.

Duchess Meghan receives the Women of Vision Award because she stands up for the rights of women and girls around the world, according to the website of the Ms. Foundation for Women. Meghan is “a feminist, advocate for human rights and equality and a global role model”. In addition, Meghan explores “the labels that try to hold women back” with her podcast Archetypes, which started in 2022. The Duchess is “one of the most powerful and influential women in the world”.

In addition to Duchess Meghan, LaTosha Brown (52) will receive the Women of Vision Award this year. She is co-founder of the Black Voters Matter initiative. Founded in 1972 by Steinem, Patricia Carbine, Letty Cottin Pogrebin and Marlo Thomas, the Ms. Foundation for Women is the oldest non-profit organization for women in the United States. Tickets for the annual gala at the Ziegfeld Ballroom in New York cost between 1,500 and 15,000 US dollars (equivalent to around 1,400 to 14,000 euros).
