“Just like before”: The doctors are going on a big tour in Germany, Austria and Switzerland this year. The band – consisting of Bela B (60), Farin Urlaub (59) and Rodrigo González (55) – announced their “Autumn of Life” tour 2023 on their website from the end of August to mid-October. At almost every location, the musicians will play at least two concerts. There are even three shows scheduled in the Turbinenhalle in Oberhausen.

The special thing about the planned tour: Although the doctors are among Germany’s cult bands and could therefore fill large halls and arenas, they play “just like before” in rather smaller concert locations. The turbine hall in Oberhausen has around 3,000 visitors, the Palladium in Cologne around 4,000 and the Bielefeld locomotive shed around 3,000.

The tour starts with two concerts in Austria: on August 29th and 30th the doctors will play one concert each at the Arena Open Air in Vienna. Then it goes on to Offenbach, Potsdam, Bremen, Münster, Berlin, Cologne, Zurich, Bielefeld, Hamburg, Saarbrücken, Leipzig and Oberhausen.

Advance sales for the concerts start on Monday, August 21 at 5 p.m. Tickets can only be purchased through the band’s website.

The band Die Ärzte has existed in its current formation since 1993 and is one of the most commercially successful punk rock bands in Germany.
