despite the fact that the leadership behind the Danish Tour-start in 2021 have come to recognise that it had given wrong figures to brand the Danish Tour-start, they continued wrong numbers to flourish in over four months.
It writes Politiken, Saturday brings 17 pieces of evidence for the fake number of partners to the Danish Tour-start.
Alex Pedersen, who is employed as a manager for the ‘Grand Départ Copenhagen Denmark’ (Tour-start in Denmark 2021, ed.), had in July to complain that you had given wrong figures to brand themselves with.
It was in the context that you wrote, that the Tour was seen by 3.5 billion tv viewers worldwide, while the figure is between 10 and 20 million people per stage (in this case, a maximum of 420 million viewers).
in Addition, you had indicated that the former hosts of the Tour-the start had been good branding out of it.
As an example had you used Dusseldorf, which should have have scored an estimated promotional value of 443 million euros on the Tour-the beginning, which Deloitte has figured out is about 100 million euros too much.
Since July, the 10 partners of the Danish Tour-start, however, still brought the wrong numbers on their websites – total of 17 cases. The case of Vejle Municipality, Nyborg Municipality, Roskilde Municipality, Capital Region of denmark, Region Zealand, Region of southern denmark, ministry of Business and industry, Sport Event Denmark, VisitDenmark and Wonderful Copenhagen.
“It is, of course, we get bored of. In the summer we were in dialogue about it with our partners, so it irks us as much, when there still are places where the numbers are not addressed. Of course, it must be the right information, we will convey. After you have made aware of it, we will do everything we can, as soon as possible to get it addressed,” says Alex Pedersen to Politiken.
the ministry of industry also regrets the errors and will now go through the ministry’s website for more errors.
Several of the Tour-the partners have already fixed the errors, but a few places are still incorrect figures supplied, writes Politiken.
‘the Tour de France is broadcasted in 190 countries and has approximately 3.5 billion tv viewers during the race,’ should have been on one of the three above-mentioned regions website on Saturday morning.
the Tour de France by 2021 starts the 2. July with a time trial in Copenhagen. The second stage is run from Roskilde to Nyborg, while the third stage will run from Vejle to Sønderborg.
