The kitchen thriller at Katzenberger continues: In the new episode of their documentary soap, Daniela Katzenberger (36), Lucas Cordalis (55) and daughter Sophia (7) finally have the new kitchen installed. The only problem is that the cat is “not at all compatible with construction sites”, as Lucas already knows. Renewed nervous breakdowns are therefore inevitable – and that’s how it happens.
Dirt and dust and stress for the whole family. While the craftsmen are still busy, the cat already pulls out the vacuum cleaner and wipes around the feet of the workers. Lucas: “Dani gets on my nerves in such situations.” But Daniela is not doing much better: “I feel disgusting, I have it everywhere, from my feet to my nostrils.”
To escape the kitchen construction site, the family moves in with Lucas’ mother for two days. Memories are awakened there too. For example to the deceased father-in-law Costa Cordalis (1944-2019). “We had our best time in this house,” enthuses the cat. “It’s really weird that we’re moving back into the house now – and one is missing.”
In the guest bed, completely different memories come up: “Sophia was conceived one floor below,” reveals the cat with a grin. And goes into more detail: “Tatort came that evening, but we shot louder.” The relationship between Lucas’ mother Ingrid Cordalis (83) and her daughter-in-law is also discussed at the beginning. Daniela: “Ingrid thought I was great from the start. Like athlete’s foot, diarrhea or a boil on my bottom.” The problem was probably Daniela’s extreme cell phone use, as the mother-in-law explains. In the meantime, however, the verdict is quite different: “She has now become a dear daughter-in-law to me.”
Then it’s off to Kitzbühel – to Daniela’s big challenge of the season: an appearance on Florian Silbereisen’s (41) “Schlagerboom” in front of over 6,000 spectators. The cat is pumped: “Everything has to be fine there. I can’t lie on my mouth, I can’t forget my text and I can’t puke anywhere with excitement.” At least she fits back into her favorite pair of jeans, which she’s been training for the past few weeks. But winning over the kilos doesn’t help against self-doubt: “I have the feeling that I can’t do it,” said the cat.
At the rehearsal in front of the now empty stands, the stage fright gets even worse: the cat announces that she’s already got diarrhea from all the excitement. When she finds out that there are six million people watching TV in addition to the live audience, nothing works anymore. During the rehearsal she forgets the text and doesn’t know how to move. A problem despite playback. “If I mess up here, I’m sure I won’t make the performance,” are the last words of the episode. How Daniela Katzenberger really did in the end can be seen in the next episode of “Daniela Katzenberger – Familienglück auf Mallorca” (Wednesdays, 8:15 p.m., RTLzwei).
