Crown Princess Catharina-Amalia (20) is expected to attend her first state banquet when King Felipe (56) and Queen Letizia of Spain (51) visit the Netherlands on April 17 and 18. The next premiere for the heir to the Dutch throne.

As RTL Boulevard further reports, Princess Amalia’s parents, King Willem-Alexander (56) and Queen Máxima (52), will receive the Spanish royal couple at the big dinner, which usually takes place at the Royal Palace in Amsterdam. Both monarchs will traditionally give a speech. The glamorous evening calls for black tie outfits for the men and evening dresses for the women, so it’s likely that Princess Amalia will once again wear a tiara for the occasion.

At her tiara debut in June 2022 at the 18th birthday gala of Princess Ingrid Alexandra of Norway (20), Princess Catharina-Amalia wore the Dutch star tiara. They adorned additional tiaras at the royal wedding of Crown Prince Hussein (29) and Princess Rajwa of Jordan (29) in June 2023 and at the 18th birthday celebrations of Prince Christian of Denmark (18) in October 2023.

“I love tiaras,” Princess Amalia said in her biography, published in 2021 ahead of her 18th birthday. “Show me a tiara and I’ll know where it came from. I recognize all the tiaras in Europe. My mother always gave me one. Then there was one on her dressing table and I had it right on my head,” she revealed proves to be a real fan of the royal headdress.

And what’s more: “I really liked my mother’s jewelry anyway. When I was very little. She was preparing an important dinner and shouted through the house: ‘Amalia, where is the ring?'” she recalled great fascination that sparkling stones exerted on her from an early age.

A year ago, Crown Princess Catharina-Amalia completed another royal premiere. She accompanied her parents on their first official trip abroad. The destination: the Caribbean part of the Dutch Kingdom.
