The Problem is there – but no suitable solution? Good ideas are usually missing when you need them most. Don’t worry: creativity can be trained. The following six methods and strategies to help.

1. Method: Collect first, their ideas unfiltered

Often we have ideas, but very quickly the inner critic is switched on, the power of the ideas to be undone. “This is not going to work,” he whispers. Or: “this can’t work.”

creativity needs time to develop. It usually takes a good quarter of an hour, until the first really good ideas set. But only if the thoughts were previously freely unfold.

2. Method: Move for more creativity

It brings a lot to leave the familiar environment and to move, to come to other thoughts. Researchers have made 2014 an Experiment in which people are creative should be, if you were sitting on a chair, on a treadmill, moving outside or went for a walk. They found that people exercise their creativity when they move. Who trained on the treadmill, was more creative than someone who just sat on a chair. At best, the people fared, and went in front of the door, and a walk made.

3. Method: Think like a child, to creativity, to train

children are more creative than adults: they know so many boundaries, are driven by curiosity and have not have such a strong inner critic, as many of us. Try it once, to a Problem as a child approach.

This does not mean that you should act childish, but that you are taking a very open stance, inside of limits off and more playful approach. So you have to learn to think again around the corner – and often the right idea is here, all of a sudden. 4. Method: Make something entirely different

Who is biting on a thing that won’t get far: The thoughts are the Problem, it is the room for fresh ideas. The shoot, however, often by the head, when you least expect them: while shopping, in the shower or the next Morning when you Wake up. don’t Give yourself so quiet a break, if you get stuck, it is best to sleep on the issue. If there is no time to try to solve, at least in my head for a while of the thing that you are busy. You drink a coffee with colleagues or distract themselves with something else – at a pinch it also does a funny Video.

5. Method: creativity through the writing of a diary

Many people report that it increases your creativity when you write down your thoughts. This works best if the thoughts flow freely and you just write down what’s in your head, without judging it. (Also read: These 7 Trends will change our world forever)

you can’t write at all like? No Problem: Why not just a note book to take you to scribble on instead, or draw?

6. Method: you Learn something New and get active and creative

It is the creativity promoted tremendously, if you are busy with new things. Immerse yourself in a new language, take a Surf lesson or learn to brew your own beer. Also, all of the activities that one performs with the hands, can boost creativity – so why not make a Puzzle in your Hand or a piece of furniture to build?
