At the coronation of King Charles III. (74) in London, his high-ranking guests also attracted attention. Among the 2,000 invited guests in Westminster Abbey were numerous representatives of other royal houses. The royal ladies mostly opted for reserved clothing in muted colors.

While the men wore uniforms or suits, the women had a harder time. What should you wear to the big event? Charlène and Co. left the big robes in the closet, after all nobody wanted to steal the show from the royal couple and the British royal family.

Princess Charlene (45) of Monaco wore a two-piece pantsuit and hat in cream. Like many other royals, she opted for a monochromatic look. Queen Máxima of the Netherlands (51) also chose a light cream dress that reached just below the knees. She paired the dress with matching gloves and a pale hat. She wore nude-colored stiletto pumps that went perfectly with the nude-colored clutch.

Norway’s Crown Princess Mette-Marit, 49, looked elegant in pale pink wearing a monochromatic midi dress with a matching hat, gloves and stiletto pumps. The Belgian Queen Mathilde (50) also chose pastel pink. She combined a light hat with the midi dress. Queen Rania of Jordan (52) chose a light yellow dress. Her long-sleeved, high-necked midi dress was paired perfectly with cream pumps.

Sweden’s Crown Princess Victoria (45), who wore royal blue in her dress, shoes and hat, dared more color.

The Danish Crown Princess Mary (51) also came up with a more colorful choice of clothes. She opted for a bright purple outfit by Soren Le Schmidt. The 51-year-old paired her coat dress, which fell to just below the knee length, with a purple fascinator and stiletto-heeled pumps.

The Spanish Queen Letizia (50) wore a pink suit with a peplum and a large hat.
