The actor Christian Oliver (1972-2024), who died in a plane crash in the Caribbean, and his two young daughters have been transferred to Los Angeles. The widow of the “Alarm for Cobra 11” star, Jessica Klepser (49), made this public.
“They are at home,” the 49-year-old wrote on an Instagram photo that shows her surrounded by two friends in front of a fireplace, in front of which there are pictures of the three deceased, candles and flowers. Klepser would like to thank a number of friends who have supported her over the past few days. “I couldn’t have gotten through the last few days without you. Knowing that I have you by my side through whatever comes next means everything to me,” she writes.
Los Angeles-based German actor Christian Oliver was returning from a Caribbean vacation with his daughters on January 4, 2024, when the small plane crashed en route from the island of Bequia to St. Lucia. His ten and twelve year old daughters were on board. The pilot also died in the plane crash.
Christian Oliver had already filed for divorce from Jessica Klepser in 2021, but it has apparently not yet been finalized. A few days after the accident, Klepser thanked her on Instagram for the numerous expressions of condolence and the “love” that people were sending her: “I also feel the love from Madita, Annika and Christian. They are with me every step of the way and are watching us.” And further: “Hug your loved ones, tell them you love them, be kind to each other. And stop arguing and worrying about the little things. It is not worth it. Life is too valuable.”
Oliver gained fame in Germany primarily through his role in the action series “Alarm für Cobra 11 – The Autobahn Police”. He played Chief Inspector Jan Richter alongside “Cobra 11” veteran Erdogan Atalay (57) from 2002 to 2004.
Oliver also celebrated international success in front of the camera. For example, he appeared in Steven Soderbergh’s (60) thriller “The Good German – In the Ruins of Berlin” alongside Oscar winners Cate Blanchett (54) and George Clooney (62), as well as in “Operation Walküre – Das Stauffenberg- Assassination” with Tom Cruise (61).
