Singer, entertainer and TV presenter Giovanni Zarrella has announced his departure from the ProSieben/Sat.1 show “The Voice of Germany”. “In my world, when I do something, I do it with 100 percent. 100 percent love, attention and passion,” said the 46-year-old in a story on Instagram. His 100 percent has now been achieved for the next few months, “because above all I want to continue to be there for my family. That is the most important thing,” said Zarrella.
As examples of his busy schedule, he cited several planned broadcasts of his “Giovanni Zarrella Show” on ZDF, numerous appearances and a new album. “And because everything is like this now, it was with a heavy heart that I told the The Voice of Germany team a few days ago that unfortunately I would not be available for this year.” He had one of the best experiences of his life with Voice. “Maybe again next year or sometime in the next few years.”
The 13th season of the music show, which has ended, impressed with five new coaches who harmonized well with each other and some new rules. In addition to Zarrella, the Irish singer Ronan Keating (47), Bill and Tom Kaulitz (34) from Tokio Hotel and rapper Shirin David (29, “We love”) were on the jury. Bill and Tom Kaulitz won with their talent Malou Lovis Kreyelkamp. At the weekend, Zarrella was also seen as a singing guest star on “The Masked Singer”.
