As was to be expected, around a week before publication, more and more spicy revelations from Britney Spears’ (41) autobiography “The Woman in Me” come to light. The youngest of them once again concerns her ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake (42), with whom Spears was a couple from 1999 to 2002. As the US gossip site “TMZ” reports, the musician accuses her ex of cheating on her.
For good reason, Spears did not mention the name of her rival from back then. The woman now has a family of her own, which the pop star doesn’t want to hurt with her statements. However, resourceful fans are said to have already started looking for clues in the gossip archive and have expressed the suspicion that it could be the former member of the All Saints, Nicole Appleton (48). Photos were taken in 2000 that were supposed to show Timberlake and Appleton going to a hotel in London together.
In any case, Appleton now has a family – she has son Gene (22) with Oasis star Liam Gallagher (51) and daughter Skipper (3) with her current husband Stephen Haines.
The US site “People” had previously published another extremely spicy passage from “The Woman in Me”. Spears states that she became pregnant at the age of 19 – through her ex-boyfriend and “Mickey Mouse Club” colleague Timberlake.
For Spears it was a “surprise, but not a tragedy,” People quotes from the book. “I loved Justin so much. I always expected that one day we would start a family together. It was just going to happen a lot sooner than I expected.” But with Timberlake, the emotional situation was completely different, the singer reports: “Justin was definitely not happy about the pregnancy. He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, we were much too young.”
She finally agreed to have an abortion. At least from her choice of wording in the book – according to “People” – it is clear that she was not the driving force behind this decision: “If it had been left to me alone, I would never have done it. But Justin was so sure that he didn’t want to be a father.” That moment over 20 years ago still doesn’t let her go: “To this day it is one of the most agonizing things I have ever experienced in my life.”
