It would be a sensation and a royal scandal at the same time: Mike Tindall (43) should move into the British jungle camp. At least that’s what the “Sun” claims. Tindall would not only be the first royal in the British version of I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here!, but also in prime-time reality TV.
The former rugby player and husband of Queen’s granddaughter Zara Tindall (41), daughter of Princess Anne (72), is said to be flying to the Australian jungle next month. The “Sun” quotes an unspecified source: “It’s a big coup.” Tindall has had “a front row seat at some of the most important moments in royal history” for many years. He will be “certainly discreet” on the show, but his “mere presence” means “the show is a must-see.”
His participation has not been confirmed. A voice artist for “I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!” stated: “We will announce our cast shortly before the broadcast.”
Mike and Zara Tindall have been married since July 2011. The couple have three children, Mia (8), Lena (4) and Lucas (1).
Cult singer Boy George (61) is also said to be moving to the Australian bush. According to the “Daily Mail”, the Briton and frontman of the band Culture Club is paying dearly for his alleged appearance on the TV show. There is even talk of the “biggest contract of all time” in the show’s 20-year history. According to the report, the Londoner is expected to collect £879,000, or just over a million euros, for taking part.
