The US band Blink-182, who by their own admission have stood for shitty punk rock since 1992, are bringing their fans a lot of joy in a number of ways. In a bang, not only a new world tour was announced, but also a new album and a first single called “Edging”, which will be released next Friday (October 14th). But there is also cause for celebration in terms of the cast.

What has been buzzing around as a rumor since the summer of 2022 is now certain: founding member Tom DeLonge (46), who turned his back on the band in 2015, is back on the tour comeback. For a video on Instagram – a one-minute orgasm pun – the band writes: “We’re coming, the tour is coming, the album is coming, Tom is coming.”

The trio has big plans for the tour: DeLonge, Mark Hoppus (50) and Travis Barker (46) will give more than 70 concerts between March 2023 and February 2024. It starts on March 11, 2023 in Tijuana, Mexico, and the finale will take place on February 26, 2024 in Christchurch, New Zealand. Blink-182 also made three visits to Germany: on September 9, 2023 they will rock the Lanxess Arena in Cologne, after a detour via Scandinavia they will then go to the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin on September 16 and on September 17 in the Barclays Arena in Hamburg. Concert tickets can be purchased from October 17 of this year.

The fact that Blink-182 can appear in their regular cast found in 1998 is not only something special because of DeLonge. In July of last year, bassist Hoppus announced via social media that he was suffering from an aggressive form of cancer and was already in the fourth stage. About three months later, he also announced via social media that he had defeated the disease for the time being and was cancer-free.

Drummer Travis Barker recently wrote much more positive headlines: In May 2022 he married his partner Kourtney Kardashian (43).
