Oliver Pocher has found a new victim. The comedian has been regularly making fun of motivational speaker Biyon Kattilathu for several weeks now. The reason is Pocher’s apparently hurt feelings after the separation from his wife Amira Pocher, whom Kattilathu met on a flight at the beginning of the year.
Pocher repeatedly uploads videos in which he takes the self-proclaimed coach’s tips and reduces them to absurdity. On Friday evening he even set out to talk to a few of the guru’s fans. To do this, he spoke to visitors to Kattilathu’s event in Euskirchen, dressed as his comedy character “The Real Dalai Karma”. Pocher took selfies with the waiting spectators, cracked a few jokes and was finally stopped by the coach’s security staff. He ultimately even asked Pocher if he wanted to talk to Kattilathu backstage. But cameras were not allowed there.
What the two talked about will probably remain between them – for now. But as the “Bild” newspaper claims to have learned, Pocher is said to have not been completely convinced by Kattilathus’ statements. Nevertheless, he wanted to proceed peacefully first. He wanted to publish a video after the meeting, but: “Then we’ll talk about it again and then the topic will be over and then we’ll just do fun things and have a good time,” said Pocher to “Bild”.
However, it is unlikely that the comedian will completely spare Kattilathu in the future. Because the coach has become an essential part of Pocher’s comedy program – and a very successful part at that. Pocher’s character “The Real Dalai Karma” has already collected almost 130,000 followers on Instagram. His videos receive numerous comments and praise, but also criticism. The criticism shouldn’t bother Pocher, after all it is part of the important attention.
From the beginning of January, Pocher will be on a big comedy tour. In his program “Der Liebeskasper” he will undoubtedly also address the end of his marriage – most likely he will then tackle Kattilathu again. The contemplative Christmas break is likely to only be temporary.
