Everything has an end – even a hit series like “Billions”, which has kidnapped its fans into the unscrupulous cliques of the US financial world since 2016. As the broadcaster “Showtime” announces via a short YouTube teaser, the announced seventh season will also be the last.
As the industry magazine “Variety” reports, the final season will consist of twelve episodes. After its official launch in the “Paramount with Showtime” streaming offer on August 11th, it will also be available in the linear US TV offer on Showtime from August 13th.
Fans of the Wall Street series can look forward to a comeback by British actor Damian Lewis (52) in the role of Axe Capital CEO Bobby Axelrod in the series finale. Lewis initially left the series in 2021 after the fifth season. After not appearing in season six, he reprises his role in the series finale.
Chris McCarthy, President and CEO of Showtime, promised fans of the series an ending that will leave nothing to be desired: “This final season is packed with the incredible, complex dialogue and dynamic characters that fans have come to love.”
