The starting signal for 100 days in the container has been given: On Monday (March 4th), a total of 17 different candidates moved into the famous and constantly monitored TV prison in the first primetime edition of “Big Brother” 2024. And “Big Brother” immediately let them know who the boss was – namely him himself. These surprises awaited the new residents in the first episode “The Move-In” (from now on every Monday at 8:15 p.m. on Sat.1 and around the clock on Joyn).

The first in the container was painter and varnisher Mateo (46) from Wuppertal. By joining “Big Brother” he is fulfilling a big dream: his grandma and his mom always advised him to go to “Big Brother”. With Tanja alias Taube (55) from Giessen, female reinforcements were soon at the start – and “Big Brother” had the first instructions ready: The two were to get two, four gift boxes and cowboy hats from the consultation room. A good or bad sign? “Not every gift is a reason for joy,” announced the all-seeing brother.

But before the presents were opened, new residents were welcomed: Nurse Ciara (35), who lives in Switzerland, announced that she was there to be a role model. Her mission: She wants to address a few things on the TV show. This was followed by Kevin (29) from Bochum, who is single and on a flirting mission in the container, and Moritz (23) from Gerabronn. He describes himself as a human “3-in-1 shampoo.”

These first five residents were given the first group task, “Chair Dance”: Dressed in cowboy hats, they had to dance around four chairs until the music stopped. Anyone who didn’t secure a seat was thrown out. “Whoever wins will have a significant impact on the course of the season,” announced “Big Brother”. At the end, Mateo was allowed to open the first gift box and receive two buttons that would later have far-reaching consequences…

New roommates followed: “Rampensau” Frauke (29) from Berlin with a weakness for “Medium Ugly Men”, Nicos (27) from Rochlitz with a visible preference for the style of the 80s and Angela (49) from Bremen, who describes himself as a medium and has the feeling that he will soon have a very special encounter in the container. Next to move in were “boss” Maja (25) from Düsseldorf, who runs a restaurant herself, as well as sports and fitness fanatic Christian (26) from Essen, who prefers to work as a declutterer.

The next new roommate – motorcycle lover Jacqueline (35) from Bochum – was given the task of looking for the other residents when she moved in. “Big Brother isn’t a children’s birthday party and that’s why we’re playing hide-and-seek now. The first two who are found won’t have anything to laugh about,” announced the powerful voice offscreen. And in fact: There is currently no comfortable bed for Angela and Ciara. Instead, the two have to spend the night on camp beds in the inner courtyard.

Shortly after this unpleasant news, the self-confident Yael (29) from Berlin caused joy again when she moved in: There may be a lot to see of her, because she loves being naked and feeling the eyes of others on her, just like she does reveals in the introduction video. With voice artist Gema (55) from Koblenz, illustrator Markus (36) from Berlin, wakeboard athlete and container chick Maxime (20) as well as journalism student Benedikt (23) from Ehningen and the tattoo lover Sandro (32). the round is finally complete and the container is full.

Then it was time for the first action in a full lap: Markus had to pass box three clockwise. “Nicos, the box was with you when the music stopped. Open it and read the letter,” announces “Big Brother”. He had to choose who he thought were the two most vain residents. Frauke and Kevin then receive the bad news that they will have to do without their suitcases until further notice.

The same game again with gift box four: This time Maja had to keep the box and decide: “Which resident can you do without?” She chose Nico’s. And then it was Mateo’s turn again: “You won two buttons in the chair dance.” Visibly uncomfortable, he first had to give out the “Protected” and finally another “Nominated” button. He awarded the green one to himself, while the red one went to Jacqueline. Everyone who has received a button must now wear it in a clearly visible manner. Next Monday, the viewers will finally decide who has to leave after just one week.
