The US singer B. Smyth (1994-2022) is dead. He was only 28 years old. The tragic death occurred on November 17th. The artist’s brother announced the sad news on Instagram. B. Smyth’s brother Denzil wrote on the late’s official channel: “Today I regret to announce that my brother passed away this morning of respiratory failure after a long battle with pulmonary fibrosis.” On behalf of his late brother and family, Denzil thanks everyone “for all the love and support over the past few years.”

According to his brother Denzil, B. Smyth, whose real name was Brandon Smith, watched “dance challenges” in his last days in the intensive care unit, which fans created for his recently released single “Twerkaholic, Pt.2” and shared online had. “All these new TikToks and Instagram reels have made him really, really happy,” the deceased’s brother said in the video.

B. Smyth became known in the early 2010s with covers of famous songs that he posted on YouTube. The artist, born in Fort Lauderdale in 1994, has already had around half a million views with cover versions of Rihanna’s (34) “Stay” and Miguel’s (37) “Quickie”. In 2012, B. Smyth was signed to Motown Records. His track “Twerkaholic”, released in 2014, amassed 17 million views on YouTube.
