Hollywood’s acting association (SAG/Screen Actors Guild) has awarded its coveted trophies. The historical drama “Oppenheimer” won three prizes at the gala in Los Angeles. Lead actor Cillian Murphy prevailed against, among others, Bradley Cooper (“Maestro”) and Paul Giamatti (“The Holdovers”). Robert Downey Jr. won best supporting actor for “Oppenheimer.” The drama also won the ensemble award for the entire cast in the top category.

The SAG trophy for best actress went to Lily Gladstone for “Killers of the Flower Moon.” Margot Robbie (“Barbie”), Annette Bening (“Nyad”), Carey Mulligan (“Maestro”) and Emma Stone (“Poor Things”) were nominated with her. Golden Globe winner Da’Vine Joy Randolph (“The Holdovers”) was named best supporting actress.

The prizes were awarded for the 30th time this year. They are seen as harbingers of the Oscars coming up on March 10th. The SAG winners are often presented with trophies at the Oscars.
